Good News for conference junkies!

By | June 14, 2012

Just in case you are suffering from “Conference Withdrawal” help is on the way! Try to endure for another 3 months at which time you can treat yourself to a conference on “conversion.”  Most of the usual superstar pastors will be speaking and, I must admit, the cost is reasonable.  Details and a link to the website are below.  Or, if you prefer to stay home, save some money and probably obtain a more thorough knowledge of the subject matter, I would suggest you read “A Call To The Unconverted To Turn and Live” by Richard Baxter.

CONVERSION
What is God’s role?
What is our role?
How does it happen?
What does it look like?

These are tough questions. The trouble is, too many churches have stopped asking them. They have lost sight of how important a right understanding of Conversion is. All sorts of bad consequences result.

Yet how beautiful is the picture of a church of genuinely converted people?

The fourth 9Marks at Southeastern conference will explore why a healthy church is one that truly understands the idea of Conversion. It embraces God’s role in salvation as well as our role in turning away from sin and turning to Christ, the object and center of our faith.

Speakers include Daniel Akin, Thabiti Anyabwile, Alistair Begg, Matt Chandler, Mark Dever, and David Platt.
