Perhaps Charles Joseph Mahaney has seen the error of his ways.  He has been the supreme example of one who encourages others to praise him and also heaps praise on his fellow celebrities.  The over-the-top praise has been sickening to listen to.

More likely he is speaking from both sides of his mouth.  In his sermon of 9-28-2014 he wants you to think that church leaders should not be given exaggerated attention, but then tempers his plea by stating that church leaders are vital and significant.
