Day Fourteen of the Thomas Chantry Trial

Day fourteen of the Chantry trial resumed with the jury  continuing their deliberation over the eight criminal counts.  At 1:27 P.M. Judge Astrowsky advised Council from both sides that the jury had reached a verdict on counts 1, 6, 7 and 8 but they were at an impasse on counts 2-5. Day Eleven of the Thomas Chantry Trial

Defense Attorney John Sears filed a motion over the weekend asking the Judge to declare a mistrial based on prosecutorial misconduct. He based this on Susan Eazer’s “observable non-verbal communication.” Judge Astrowsky denied the motion stating that there was nothing presented in the motion that warrants a mistrial.
