The leaders of ARBCA have been foolish enough to publish a letter written by John Giarrizzo in their weekly newsletter dated January 8, 2019. In this letter Giarrizzo castigates his former Elders, without mentioning them by name, for being “reckless troublemakers.” In the preceding paragraph Giarrizzo speaks of a member who recently died, praising him for, among other things, being a man who never caused any problems.
The Elders whom Giarrizzo referred to were noble men who pursued the truth. They did the right thing. It is unfortunate that more local churches are not blessed with men of the caliber of the former Elders of GCC. Giarrizzo’s thrashing of them only shows him to be a proud, unrepentant sinner, unqualified for church leadership. At the end of his letter Giarrizzo speaks of a member of GCC who is going to be excommunicated from the church unless he repents! Kettle black, John?
I think Giarrizzo’s letter will serve to open the eyes of church leaders who remain members of ARBCA to the ongoing corruption infesting the leadership of ARBCA. Why would anyone want to remain in an association who publishes letters such as the one written by Giarrizzo?
Below are quotes from the Elder’s report on Giarrizzo’s involvement in the coverup of the Tom Chantry Scandal.
“The elders named above (Pete Smith, Mark Flin, Joe Godal, and Josh Rusev) are calling for Pastor John’s repentance for violating the mandates of Scripture listed below:
Exodus 20:16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
Leviticus 19:11 “You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely: you shall not lie to one another.”
This report is focused on the deception and coverup of facts by ARBCA Pastor John Giarrizzo. It should be noted that Pastor John was an active member of the AC since the inception of the association in 1997 through 2002. Pastor John withheld this information from GCC elders until it was discovered by the Weinland’s and reported to the elders on August 4, 2018. For eight months GCC elders had been working off of the false premise, as communicated by Pastor John, that he was not on the ARBCA AC in 2000, an administrative council that he, himself, condemned.”
