Heritage Baptist Church of Worcester, MA Resigns From ARBCA

By | August 14, 2019

Citing two years of ongoing health issues and faced with dwindling numbers, Pastor Mike Renihan said his church voted unanimously to resign from ARBCA on August 11, 2019.

Although their church has closed its doors, the members are searching for a new church to attend and they desire to remain together.

Mike Renihan is the brother of James Renihan and the uncle of Sam Renihan. James Renihan is the President of ARBCA’s fledgling seminary, IRBS. Sam Renihan is the senior pastor of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in La Mirada, CA. Trinity Reformed Baptist Church also voted recently to resign from ARBCA.

The article is a little unclear. Did the church disband or did the church leave ARBCA? Or did it leave ARBCA by default since it disbanded? Last I heard the church itself was going to dissolve and the article says “Although their church has closed its doors, the members are searching for a new church to attend and they desire to remain together.”
